ACCORDING to the Malaysian Youth Mental Health Index 2023 (MyMHI’23), six in 10 Malaysian youths aged between 15 and 30 years experienced mild to severe depressive symptoms.

In 2022, the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) found that one in four teenagers had feelings of depression and one in 10 had attempted to end their lives.
