WORLD Veterinary Day (WVD) is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of April, which this year falls on the 27th. This day is dedicated to all hard-working veterinarians who play an essential role in protecting the health and well-being of animals as well as people.
Veterinarians are often overlooked by society, and most people, unless they keep pets, livestock or other animals, generally don’t realise their important contributions to the health and well-being of the country.
