Universities must balance hard science with humanities

I URGE the government to reinstate funding for research in social sciences and humanities in public universities that, over the years, have been overtly obsessed with hard sciences in their curricula.

More than 75% of government grants for research in universities are reserved for the hard sciences. A major casualty from this intellectual negligence is lack of critical thinking skills among students.
