“IF corruption becomes endemic, it will destroy the institutions of governance and by default, society.” This is an excellent battle cry when one is trying to earn points in the fight against corruption. In reality, politicians tend to exacerbate the dimension of corruption by virtue of power abuse, peddling influence, clandestine “bribery” and the like.
Political funding is the mother of corruption, but it appears that nothing much has moved on this front although reforms have been touted ceaselessly.
