Speed up immigration clearance

I REFER to the report “‘Ammar was demoted, not fired’”, (Sunday Star, Feb 25) in which Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing was quoted as saying “Thailand can get 10 million tourists annually from China alone. We only receive two million Chinese tourists at most. Why are we stagnant?”

I am an Australian citizen who is formerly Malaysian. I am currently in Malaysia after five years away. I arrived on Feb 12 and had to wait in the queue at the KLIA1 immigration counter for one and a half hours to get my 90-day visa. By the time I cleared immigration, my luggage had been put in storage.
