BAM, don’t waste Pearly Tan’s talent

PEARLY Tan is one of the most skilful and talented woman badminton players Malaysia has seen in a long time. But her doubles partnership with M. Thinaah cannot go far as their playing styles do not complement each other.

In all the matches the pair have played, most of the points won are either created or scored by Tan. Thinaah’s playing style does not support Tan’s aggressive and deceptive strokes as Thinaah’s shot placement is too predictable and her smashes are neither sharp nor penetrating and are easily countered by opponents.
