Time to reconsider carbon capture and storage


A better investment: the government should stop funding carbon capture and storage projects and redirect the funds to renewable energy investments instead.

WE, the undersigned, are concerned that the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), which aims to support the government’s commitment to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050, identifies carbon capture and storage (CCS) as one of its six levers, and the PETRONAS Kasawari CCS project as one of its 10 flagship projects.
