Malaysia, Brazil commit to increasing coordination in areas of mutual interests

Following a bilateral meeting held on Dec 2, 2023, on the margins of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Ambassador Mauro Vieira, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir:

1. Welcome the decision of Malaysia to join the Joint Communiqué "United for Our Forests", adopted in Belém do Pará, during the Amazon Summit of August 9th.
