I AM writing as a concerned individual who recently travelled to and from Pulau Pinang and saw the indiscriminate destruction of Malaysia’s natural wonders, including mountains, hills and forests, along the way.

The profound loss of wildlife, including the long-tailed macaques, Asian palm civets, owls and spider monkeys, associated with this destruction is heart-wrenching.
