Tax-free personal protection equipment?

THE 2024 Budget tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday did not provide any stimulus to reduce accidents and injuries in the workplaces. I believe employers have been looking forward to an announcement on the abolition or reduction of tax imposed on personal protective equipment (PPE).

Employees face a range of hazards in workplaces that could cause injury or illness. PPE is a crucial aspect of workplace safety that cannot be ignored as it greatly reduces the risk of injury.
