Learn from badminton letdown

I REFER to the StarSport report “A team without team spirit” (Sunday Star, Oct 1; online at tinyurl.com/bdej7hh5). I am fairly certain that most fans would agree with former badminton legend Datuk Lee Chong Wei that a lack of team spirit led to Malaysia’s first round exit at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.

Without a doubt, the 1-3 loss to South Korea in the men’s team event was a huge letdown given that Malaysia was expected to win the encounter and progress to the quarter-finals.
