Sharing the facts on safe handling of gas cylinders

I REFER to the letter “Cooking gas cylinders must have safety standards” by the Consumers’ Association of Penang (The Star, Aug 17). Having worked in the industrial gas sector for many years, I would like to share some of my knowledge.

There are a few types of gas cylinders, but the main ones are seamless cylinders and welded cylinders.
