Can we have cheaper mobile phone plans next, please?

COMMUNICATIONS and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil recently announced that Internet package prices are expected to drop in September when the Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing is adopted. I am hoping the price of mobile phone plans will also be reduced.

I am currently paying RM28 per month for a telco plan that gives me 50 minutes of voice calls, 200 short messages service (SMS) texts and 3GB of data. I used to subscribe to a much cheaper plan without mobile data. But these days, having mobile data is a must, otherwise I would not be able to park in the local council’s parking lot, among others.

Just RM5 per month.
