Performance matters, not the headcount

THE Malaysia Association of Cleaning Contractors (MACC) thanks Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli for agreeing to look into performance-based contracts as contractors should be penalised for non-performance rather than for being short-staffed.

He said, “Under the new approach, cleaning companies would be hired based on their performance rather than the number of workers they have” (“Process for companies to hire professional”, The Star, May 31; online at bit.ly/star_headcount).
