Develop guidelines to treat ketum users

I WELCOME the recent announcement by the director-general of the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), Sutekno Ahmad Belon, that a new drug law, which will be tabled in Parliament in July, will “enable those addicted to substances other than drugs to undergo treatment and rehabilitation with the agency”, “New Act will help substance addicts obtain treatment from AADK, says DGG” (The Star, May 20).

Those addicted to ketum leaves can be listed under AADK for treatment under the new law.
