Assessing graduate employability

I REFER to the article “1,467 grads jobless as of 2021” (The Star, Feb 28; online at https://bit.ly/3YfwHL0). The issue of jobless graduates is a long-standing matter that has been met by assurance from successive administrations that initiatives will be taken to address it.

Perhaps the Higher Education Ministry could reflect on a British Council study titled “TNE (Transnational Education) graduate employment study: an analysis of graduate employment trends in Malaysia” (British Council, May 2018). (TNE pertains to education delivered in a country other than the country in which the awarding institution is based.)
