Fomca calls for more bite in promoting competition

THE Federation of Malaysian Consumers Association (Fomca) fully supports the actions of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry to protect the rights of consumers with regards to Touch ‘n Go (TnG), which we view as a monopolistic entity.

The Competition Act 2010 was established to prevent monopolistic behaviour by companies. Fomca filed a complaint with the Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC) on Oct 30, 2018 against TnG pertaining to its monopolistic practices.
