No place for civil servants in politics

A FEW days ago, former Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali called for a law to protect the civil service.

He proposed a Public Services Act “to avoid political interference in appointments to the professional civil service”. Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) agrees with this call, but a very important factor that has affected the civil service’s performance has not been addressed.
