THE Center to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) commends the Malaysian judiciary for the recent decisions to uphold the conviction of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and to convict Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, for asserting that corruption is a crime, and for holding power to account.

The presiding judge in Rosmah’s case, Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan, concluded that she used her position as the former PM’s wife to influence and secure opportunities for self-enrichment.
