AS the football world’s focus turns to this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar (Nov 20-Dec 18), it is high time to look at our own sports backyard.
Having served as a sports teacher in both primary and secondary schools for the past 32 years, I have observed that about 60% of more than five million schoolchildren have a keen interest in football and netball.
