Don’t keep wildlife if their needs aren’t met

THE Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) would like to voice its concerns about a new zoo being built on 20.2ha in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Most zoos are built as income- generating tourist attractions. This concept of zoos should be discarded as operators of many of these establishments are totally ignorant about the proper care of wildlife, leaving the animals to suffer immensely.
