Consider drastic option of banning smoking in public

WHY wait until 2040 to reduce the number of smokers to below 5% with the new Control of Tobacco Products and Smoking Bill 2022 which is currently being debated in Parliament?

The government should consider more drastic options like totally banning smoking in public. Smoking is not just a health issue. It also impacts safety and the environment. Similarly with using mobile phones when driving, people on the road should not be smoking when driving or riding a motorcycle. Both hands must be on the steering wheel or motorcycle handlebars.
