Nicky Gang members released?

It was sheer hard work for the PDRM in the operation conducted against the Nicky Gang on suspected organised crime, having spent all available resources and man-hours to nab these suspects.

Unfortunately, their efforts have gone to waste as all the 14 members have been released, apparently based on their representations to the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC).

It truly baffles me as to what the representations were, that these 14 members were set free? This gang had been reported to swindle innocent people of their money and yet they were released and let off scot- free.

I still remember vividly a case that was reported on June 20, 2017, of an arrest made of a top official in his 50s in Kulim, Kedah, for suspected involvement in the MBI pyramid scheme. This case was handled by the enforcement unit of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Ministry. Whatever has happened to this case? Or is it another case of no further action (NFA)?
