I REFER to the letter “Lack of control an issue for Zii Jia (The Star, July 5; online at https://bit.ly/3bQZenF), in which the writer commented that Lee Zii Jia’s, currently ranked World No.5 in badminton men’s singles, loss at the Indonesian open and the recently concluded Malaysia Open was due to the player’s inability to control his shots, thereby consistently hitting the shuttle out.

While the writer’s observations on this point may be valid, what about the accuracy of shots when Zii Jia had control?
