Keep those masks on, please!

MALAYSIA is transitioning from a pandemic to an endemic stage of the Covid-19 outbreak. However, we must not throw caution to the wind. While it’s not mandatory to wear masks outdoors, it is still worthwhile to keep them on in crowded or confined situations, especially if you are around children and the elderly.

Just the other day, I was in a lift when I was joined by an unmasked family who did not even bother to apologise for not masking up in a confined space. Stop this lackadaisical attitude. The high number of positive cases and the deaths logged daily just several months ago are a grim reminder of the price paid for carelessness.
