THE doctor-patient ratio differs in each state while the patient load is almost similar in trend hence some states are experiencing shortages.

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) proposes that the Health Ministry and the Statistics Department carry out mapping to look into the actual trends in general and subspecialty cases in each state and plan and allot human resources accordingly.
