Improve English communication skills

THE Dual Language Programme implemented in some schools is, in my opinion, an innovative and apt one. It gives the students a choice of medium of instruction – Bahasa Malaysia or English – for Science and Mathematics. I myself was involved in this programme, whereby I taught Chemistry in English for the two classes that signed up for it.

There are some schools, especially in urban areas, where many students converse in English. If the school has teachers who are proficient in English, it is a win-win situation.
