THE Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia, with 151 member hospitals, will be engaging with 5G technology providers and vendors with 5G-ready medical devices at the end of this month. This is to prepare our members to move on to the next level of care using connectivity.
We are keen to establish better connectivity to serve our patients and international medical tourists using 5G, as it will allow a seamless transfer of medical records and imaging and other medical data using sensor devices like smart watches and medical instruments remotely. As travel is still uncertain because of Covid-19, 5G technology can aid telehealth and telediagnostics conducted remotely and without interruption or delay.
