GONG xi fa cai (wishing you good fortune) is a phrase used by the Chinese during the Lunar New year to greet their family members and friends.

While all cultures worldwide have their own greetings to celebrate the advent of their new year, the Chinese are probably among the few that use money-related words in their biggest festival of the year!
