Government must be tough in the face of Omicron

I READ with concern that the movement control order will no longer be used by the government to combat the rise of Covid-19 cases. This is capitulation to the demands of vocal individuals even as we are witnessing countries like Australia and the United States battling a huge rise in cases.

It is also extremely strange that people are more concerned about returning to their hometowns to celebrate festivals than the Omicron variant, which is currently raging around the globe.
