LAST year, Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar warned that Malaysia was witnessing the tragedy of acute poverty among children arising from the social and economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said this would have ripple effects on the children’s education and future prospects, leaving them worse off than their parents or previous generations.
