THE wave of Covid-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant inundating countries like Australia, Britain and the United States should remind us that Malaysia too could be facing a tsunami.
Currently, we’re trying hard to defend our fort. Once the fort is breached, we will have to fall back on the two vaccination doses and booster shots to protect ourselves. A sudden surge of Omicron cases would demand we isolate ourselves from our loved ones in our own personal lockdowns to protect them. As much as we would like to move forward, we have to realise we are still in the midst of a pandemic and we have yet to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
