HEDONISTIC living means living according to the belief that the most important thing in life is to enjoy oneself. However, the meaning, which was earlier connected to social and intellectual pleasure, has now fallen into the gutter of debauchery, sensual and physical pleasures. But this can be changed if the activity is linked to the environment.
Hedonism can be linked with sustainability, a concept that has been around since the late 1980s and is currently being bandied about with regards to the environment.
