Dear CTO, are your apps and/or websites blind-friendly?

AHEAD of World Braille Day tomorrow, I’d like to share my online banking experience from a visually impaired person’s perspective. But before that, here’s a brief run through of blind technology 101: With the help of assistive technology like screen readers, I am able to use my smartphone or computer just like people without visual impairment.

TalkBack on my smartphone and NonVisual Desktop Access on my computer read aloud the screen’s content by interpreting text and image content as speech (text-to-speech). Swiping with a finger or using gestures, keyboard arrow keys and keyboard shortcuts enables the screen reader to interact with most operating software, websites and apps.
