Decent attire is normal in holy places

WITH reference to Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai’s column “Nothing else matters” (On the Beat, Sunday Star, Dec 12; online at bit.ly/3star_beat): I am puzzled by DAP’s Dr Boo Cheng Hua questioning why Segamat MP Hannah Yeoh wore a baju kurung and hijab when she visited a mosque. Why does Yeoh’s visit trouble him, I wonder. I see nothing wrong with it.

In fact, I would advise more non-Muslims to visit mosques to know more about Islam. And Muslims, too, should learn of other faiths – when we know more about each other, we will have greater religious understanding and tolerance in Malaysia.
