THE remarks made by PKR treasurer Lee Chean Chung against BN-MCA’s candidate for Klebang, Datuk Lim Ban Hong that the latter is abusing his position by contesting in the Melaka state polls is an act of character assassination, as well as casting doubt on the professionalism of the Election Commission (EC).
Lee’s comment that Lim has to resign from his portfolio as the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry is purely an underhanded attempt to undermine the credibility of a political opponent. It is baseless and unfounded.
