Learn to live with the reality of change

FOR the past two weeks, there has been much ado about the word Timah, the name of the award-winning Malaysian whisky, on both mainstream as well as social media.

I am aghast at how the name Timah has suddenly become so controversial. Claims that it should not be used for a whisky made in Malaysia are pathetic, as there are other brands of whisky with names like Shahib and Hadi in the market.

As if that wasn’t enough, some even called for the name Timah to be changed and the picture of Captain Speedy to be removed just because of the headgear.

Times have changed and we have to live with reality. Let us respect one another and rebuild our country after the ravages of Covid-19 as one Keluarga Malaysia.
