Selangor govt needs comprehensive anti-corruption strategy following Sultan's warning

THE Pakatan Harapan Selangor state government is urged to heed the warning by His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah that heavy punishments should be meted out against those convicted of corruption. The state administration should adopt a comprehensive, long-term anti-corruption and integrity strategy against state government officials who have been arrested and convicted of graft.

In gracing the opening of the first meeting of the fourth term of the 14th Selangor state assembly on 23 August 2021, the Selangor Ruler expressed his regret that there are still those who are dishonest in fulfilling their duty as civil servants and political leaders despite many reminders on involvement against in corrupt activities that could spoil the nation.
