MALAYSIA'S per capita vaccination rate is among the top 10 in the world. Nearly 30% of adults have already received their first dose of the vaccine. The Perikatan Nasional government has supported families and businesses during the pandemic to the tune of nearly half a trillion ringgit - that’s almost RM100bil more than Malaysia’s total pre-Covid GDP.
Despite the enormous shock of the pandemic, particularly the latest Delta strain that has seen a surge of new infections, Malaysia’s economy is expected to grow this year by 4.5%, with exports projected to increase to 11.2%.
