Government’s takeaways will bring us out of tough time

Perhaps this is a cliché, but let us repeat the message so that Members of Parliament will hit the streets and work tirelessly to reach out to families and individuals badly affected by Covid-19, now that they have been given RM300,000 each under the federal government’s Food Basket Programme.

The Perikatan Nasional-led government has distributed the allocation just days after Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the RM150 billion Pemulih stimulus package. It is the eighth of the total RM380 billion in economic stimuli given as aids and assistance which have been provided continuously by the government since the pandemic hit our shores early last year.
