A testament to an icon’s ability to adapt to the times

I REFER to the report “75 years of RTM making milestones” (The Star, April 2; online at bit.ly/star_tv).

It is indeed remarkable that Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) is celebrating its diamond jubilee. It has, over the years, progressed as a truly national broadcaster and cultural institution. Since its inception and particularly since the country’s independence in 1957, RTM has played an important role in informing, educating and entertaining the Malaysian public.
