Our democracy is not a game of musical chairs

How many of us are tired of the uncertainty of our political climate? No matter which side you’re on, you'd have to agree that Malaysian politicians have largely contributed to the uncertainty of the country’s political direction today.

In a recent survey by political science and social behavioral research firm Centre for Governance and Political Studies, 46% of 1,100 respondents said they have completely lost interest in politics due to party hopping. And 44% said that MPs should be banned from running in the next General Election if they changed parties, while 34% believed that an MP should lose his/her seat immediately after hopping.
