I REFER to the report about Jocelyn Yow, “Malaysian-Vietnamese named mayor of California city” (Sunday Star, Dec 13).
I am amazed at her achievements and would like to share my opinion as a young person (12 years old) on how I view her success. Although she is American, I think Jocelyn is a good example for young Malaysians like me. She has made our country proud by being the youngest mayor of colour (Asian American) in California.
