Stopping the cancer of corruption

AS anti-graft fighters and reformers commemorate UN International Anti-corruption Day this Wednesday, I would like to applaud Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed (pix) for his years of excellent service and unimpeachable contributions to our country and wish him all the best on his retirement.

Abu Kassim has 32 years experience as an anti-corruption practitioner, putting in boundless energy and walking the extra mile to fight this scourge both domestically and internationally. He was chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for over six years and recently retired as director-general of the National Centre for Governance, Integrity and Anti-corruption (GIACC). He is indeed a towering Malaysian!
