We should be thankful to them

I WAS shocked and saddened to read that 10,000 police personnel are under quarantine and 200 had tested positive for Covid-9 and are undergoing treatment (“Running against time”, The Star, Oct 27; online at bit.ly/star_pdrm).

To have so many of the 130,000 personnel in the force affected will definitely have a huge impact on the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). But do they complain? No, the work must go on, as they have a duty to protect the safety of people and property. The men and women of the PDRM will never abandon their duties as they have taken an oath to protect the rakyat.
