Historic moment as Anti-Nuclear Weapon Treaty comes in force from Jan 22,2021, after 50 nations, including M'sia, ratify


AFTER Malaysia ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) as the 46th nation on Sept 30,2020, represented by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, within a month, the Treaty acquired its 50th ratification from the nation of Honduras.

Hence, this international agreement, which was adopted on Sept 21,2017, will finally enter into force on Jan 22,2021,90 days after reaching its 50-nation ratification requirement.
