MALAYSIANS in general have shown a marked disdain for what is now commonly referred to as 3D jobs (acronym for Dangerous, Dirty and Difficult), preferring those that afford more comfort and a better quality of life, notwithstanding that relatively high unemployment rate in certain segments of the population.
To address this shortfall of labour resources, the country over the years has become increasingly dependent on foreign labour.
