WHILE Merdeka Day is being celebrated with pride across our land, it is also pertinent to look at the issue of economic freedom.
Economic freedom, or rather the lack of it, sees average middle class Malaysians having to deal with the pressures of increasing cost of living, our shrinking ringgit and the continuing weak economy, and more so now with the Covid-19 pandemic in our midst.
