Panacea for peace and harmony in Rukun Negara

The Malaysia Prihatin theme and logo for the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. - ZULAZHAR SHEBLEE / THE STAR

AT last Friday’s sermon, the imam reminded those in attendance that independence is a gift bestowed by God. We live in a society of many religions, races and culture and the benefits of independence should not be taken for granted.

“Malaysia Prihatin” (Malaysia Cares) is the theme for the National Day celebration this year, but there will be no big parade in view of the SOP under the recovery movement control order (MCO). The current resolve is for everybody to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
