Widen testing on foreign workers for peace of mind

MALAYSIA has done very well in flattening the Covid-19 infection curve. It is encouraging to see that the daily number of new cases has gone down to a single digit, and even zero for local infections.

However, it is not very comforting to read that only a small fraction of the 2.3 million foreign workers here have been tested and priority has been given to those in the construction sector, as reported in “Get foreign workers tested” (The Star, July 10).
